Memorial services for Robert William Blair, 53, of Mina will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 2nd at Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton. Rev. Lloyd Redhage will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Union Cemetery.

Bob passed away April 29, 2012 at Avera St. Lukes Hospital, Aberdeen after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Bob was born on February 7, 1959 in Aberdeen to John “Jack” & Adeline (Kroll) Blair. He attended school in Groton, and was selected as Boys State Representative in 1976. Bob graduated from Groton High School in 1977. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps and received his Honorable Discharge. Bob worked at several businesses in Aberdeen, before moving to Rapid City in 1987. He returned to Aberdeen in 1997 and worked for the American News, TCF and most recently, Hase Plumbing.

Bob enjoyed working on his new home, gardening, coin collecting and fishing.

Urn Bearer will be Rocky Currington.

Honorary Urn bearers will be his nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.

Celebrating his life are his children; James Blair of Box Elder, Shelby McDill of Missoula, Montana, his parents; Jack & Adeline Blair of Andover, siblings; Charles Blair of Aberdeen, Jerald (Tina) Blair of Aberdeen, Donald (Brenda) Blair of Aberdeen, Linda Graham of Mansfield and Ann (Ray) Salwei of Bath. Bob is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Danny Blair, Santanna Mosbrucker, Tabitha Blair, Emily Blair, Rachel (David) Becker and Michael Graham.

Preceding him in death were his maternal and paternal grandparents and his daughter, Grace.
