Betty Krueger Obituary

Services for Betty Krueger, 87, of Conde will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 12th at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Ferney.  Rev. Lloyd Redhage will officiate.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton.

 

Visitation will be held at the chapel on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

 

Betty passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Avera St. Lukes Hospital, Aberdeen. 

 

Betty L. was born on February 19, 1932 in Rosholt to Selmer and Dora (Jensen) Ellingson.  They moved closer to Groton when Betty was a small child.  Betty attended and graduated from Groton High School.  On March 25, 1950 she was united in marriage with James Krueger in Redfield.  Together they were blessed with three sons.  Betty worked several years at Kolb Egg Company in Groton.  In the early 70s, Betty began work at Ken’s Super Fair Foods in Aberdeen and later at Kessler’s Bakery.  Betty and Jim enjoyed traveling together and spending time at their lake home on Enemy Swim Lake.  Jim passed away in April of 2010.

 

Betty was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran and it’s Ladies Aid.  She enjoyed reading, baking and all types of handiwork, including sewing, crocheting and knitting.  She also liked to mow and took great pride in her lawn.  She will forever be remembered for her love of family.

 

Celebrating her life are her sons, Steve (Cora) Krueger of Conde, Robert (Lois) Krueger of Groton, four grandchildren: Jackie Krueger (Cody Lindgren), Amy (Josh) Harmer, Teresa (Mike) Schnell and Jessie Krueger (Brandan Fish) and her 10 great-grandchildren.

 

Preceding her in death was her husband, Jim, her parents, her brother, Russell Ellingson, great-grandchildren, Angel Merkel and Hunter Krueger and son, David Krueger.

 

Honorary Casketbearers will be all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

Casketbearers will be Mike Schnell, Josh Harmer, Cody Lindgren and Scott Krueger.
