Private graveside services for Betty Taylor, 92, of Conde will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23rd at the Conde City Cemetery. Rev. Matt Proctor will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton.
Betty passed away April 17, 2020 at Avantara Groton.
Betty was born on June 14, 1927 in Conde to Henry and Elma (Claussen) Buising. She attended and graduated from Conde High School. Betty continued her education at Northern Normal College, where she earned her teaching certificate. She worked in the college business office for several years before she began teaching. On March 25, 1950 she was united in marriage to Keith Taylor at the United Methodist Church, Conde. Together, they made their home on the farm and were blessed with two children. Betty enjoyed working on the farm operation, often helping to drive tractor or grain carts. In addition, she did many years of gardening work.
Betty was a member of the United Methodist Church in Conde. She was actively involved in the Women's Circle, choir and had served as the organist for nearly 40 years. Through the church, she took many mission and retreat outings, often traveling out of state.
Celebrating her life are her children, Rex (Larae) Taylor of Conde, Peggy (Peter) Tillman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, three granddaughters, Carrie (Matt) Proctor, Alyssa Taylor, Nicole (Drew) Mickelson and 6 great-grandchildren, Taylor and Aubree Mickelson, Samuel, Caleb, Elias and Charity Proctor. Betty is also survived by two sisters, Wanda (Burleigh) Grimes of Crown Point, Indiana and Diane (Kenneth) Ketel of Rapid City.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Keith in 2002 and one sister, Dolores Grimes.
