Services for Florrann Norris, 75, of Groton will be 10:30 am, Saturday, November 15th at the United Methodist Church, Groton. Rev. Rob Moorlach will officiate. Burial will follow in Groton Union Cemetery under the direction of Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton. www.paetznick-garness.com
Visitation will be held at the chapel from 4-8pm on Friday and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church.
Florrann passed away November 12, 2008 at Avera St. Lukes Hospital, Aberdeen.
Florrann Lavere Lenius was born on November 10, 1933 in Britton to Walter and Anna (Engelke) Lenius. She attended and graduated from Claremont High School. On October 26, 1952, she united in marriage with Francis Norris and they made their home in Claremont. In 1966, the couple moved to Groton and Florrann later began a daycare center. After her husband's death in November of 2000, she continued living in Groton and worked at Teddy Bear Day Care.
Florrann was a member of the Groton United Methodist Church and its Women's Circle. She also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and Senior Citizens.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her children: Mark (Laurie) Norris of Salem, SD, Allen (Chris) Norris of Ft. Worth, TX, Barry (Tina) Norris of Midway, GA, Florrinda (Craig) Blumhardt of Jamestown, ND and Carla (Tim) Geffre of Leola, SD. Florrann is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and her brother-in-law, John Larson of Britton.
Preceding her in death was her husband, her parents, three sisters and one brother.
Honorary Casketbearers will be all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Casketbearers will be her grandsons; Eric Blumhardt, Adam Blumhardt, Skyler Geffre, Lucius Geffre, Jadyn Geffre and Adrian Norris.
