Joyce was born April 5, 1927 to Arthur and Lucy (Blake) Little. She was raised in the Mellette area before moving to Conde where she married Wayne Klapperich of Conde in August of 1947. Together they farmed outside of Conde until Wayne's death in March of 1976. Through this union were born twelve children: Edward "Skip" (Debbie) Klapperich, Conde, SD, David (Sonja) Klapperich, Salem OR, Phillip (Janelle) Klapperich, Aberdeen, SD, Raymond Klapperich, Bend, OR, Neil (Cindy) Klapperich, Oakes, ND, Virginia (Dave) Cahill, Hazel Green, WI, Karen (Emmett) Keyser, Pierre, SD, Deanna (Barry) Bawek, Conde, SD, Peggy (Todd) Morton, Milbank, SD, infant Theresa Klapperich (deceased), Daniel Klapperich, Stage Coach, NV, and Steve Klapperich, Salem, OR. Joyce was also blessed with 19 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, all of which she held dear to her heart.
Joyce will be remembered most as a quiet, devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. She loved sewing, crafts, reading and a rewarding hobby of bowling. She especially loved being surrounded by her family at holidays and all special family events
In addition to her husband and infant daughter, Joyce will be reunited in heaven with her grandson Nathan, her parents, and all of her brothers and sisters who have gone before her.
A special thank you is extended to the staff and "Angel girls" at St. William's Care Facility for their love and care of our mother during her stay there. Your devotion and sensitivity was greatly appreciated.
