Kenneth Tewksbury

Private family services for Kenneth Tewksbury, 81, of Ferney will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Entombment will follow under the direction of Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton.

Ken passed away June 1, 2013 at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Kenneth Dale was born on June 7, 1931 to Clarence and Lillian (Stokley) Tewksbury. He was the youngest of three boys. Ken attended Bates Township Country School. On August 10, 1960, he was united in marriage with Barbara Nehls. Together they made their home on the family farm and raised two sons.

Ken loved farming and driving around to check fields.

Celebrating his life through memories are his sons, Randy (Violet) Tewksbury and Steve (Betty) Tewksbury, all of Groton. He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Brad (Sarah) Tewksbury, Amanda (Chris) Eye, Heidie Kraig and six great-grandchildren: Jacob, Owen, Dezirae, Jace, Isabella and Aubrey.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Barbara and brothers, Boyd and Bill.
