Kyle Schumacher

Services for Kyle Schumacher, 23, of Groton will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 1st at the Conde High School. Pastor Elizabeth Johnson will officiate.

Visitation will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Groton on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. A prayer service will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Kyle passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 at his residence in Groton.
Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Kyle Lee "Shoe" Schumacher was born on May 29, 1988 in Thornton, Colorado to Tom and Penny (Zeck) Schumacher. He attended Westminster High School in Colorado his freshman and sophomore year and graduated from Conde High School in 2006. Kyle continued his education at Lake Area Technical Institute, where he earned a degree in Robotics. He worked at James Valley Telecommunications and later for S & S Lumber. He had been working at Poet Biorefining for two years prior to his passing.

Kyle enjoyed snowboarding, golf, playing baseball and paintball. He loved to watch baseball and in earlier years collected baseball cards and hot wheels. Kyle was also an animal lover and leaves behind his dog and friend, DUI. He loved travel and adventure, but more importantly, his family and friends.

Celebrating his life are his parents, Penny & Bill Hearnen of Conde, Tommy Schumacher of Las Vegas, Nevada; his sister, Tara Schumacher and friend Brian Chambers of Aberdeen; his maternal grandmother, Judy Zeck of Conde; paternal grandmother, Elaine Schumacher of Aberdeen; paternal great-grandmother, Rose Kranzler of Aberdeen; two step-siblings, Tyler & Kelli Hearnen and Katie & Jesse Helwig and step grandparents; Bill & Patsy Hearnen. Kyle is also survived by his aunts; Julie (Paul) Malsom, Julie (Mike) Sayler, Dixie Bertsch and uncles; Bud (Angie) Zeck, Louis (Rebecca) Schumacher and his cousins; Alyssa, Logan, Rylee Voeller, Christopher Malsom, Chad, Lydia, Hannah & Haley Gabriel, Kristin, Jason, Dylan & Taylor Welch, Eric, Traci, Lauren, Tyler & Nathan Gabriel, Andrea Gabriel, Jennifer and Jessica Sayler, Nichole, Natasha and Lauren Bertsch, Emma Olivia and Elizabeth Zeck and Jake, Sara and Laura Schumacher.

Preceding him in death was his maternal grandpa, Darrell "DZ" Zeck, his paternal grandpa, Lawrence Schumacher, paternal great-grandpa Erwin Kranzler and his aunt, Brenda Zeck Rynders.

Honorary Casketbearers will be all of Kyle's cousins and friends, and the Class of 2006.

Casketbearers will be Chris Malsom, Brian Chambers, Drew Huber, Travis Hearnen, Greg Belden, Drake Patterson and Jesse Bawek.

The family requests that casual dress be worn for both services.
