Nina Emma Worlie was born on April 1, 1921 to Thomas and Mary (Rahm) Worlie. As a child, she lived on a farm near Conde. On October 1, 1941, she united in marriage with Erdon Barrie at St. John's Catholic Church in Conde. Together, they made their home near Conde. In 2009 they moved to Aberdeen and Erdon passed away in December of 2010.

She and Erdon liked camping in their motor home on their many fishing trips.
They also took bus trips to several different states.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Erdon of 69 years, three brothers: Melvin, Marvin and Wayne, two sisters: Hazel and Neva, and several nieces and nephews.
