Owen Olson

Memorial services for Owen Olson, 79, of Langford will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 19th at Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton.  Rev. Ramona Hayes will officiate.  Inurnment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Langford under the direction of Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton. 

Services will be live streamed through the Langford Lutheran Parish Facebook page for those unable to attend.

Owen passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Marshall County Heathcare Center in Britton.

Owen John Olson was born to Martin Olson and Caroline Rygg Olson July 20, 1941, in Langford, SD. Owen attended school through eighth grade. He worked on the family farm until retirement. He enjoyed coffee with the boys, building birdhouses, and putting many, many puzzles together over the years.

Owen never married but had many nieces and nephews. He has two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Olson and Sheila Olson. His sisters. Vella and Jermaine and brothers Martin and Charles preceded him in death. He also had a brother-in-law, Jim Hougen who preceded him in death.
