Services for Phillip Adler, 48, of Groton will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 2nd at St. John's Lutheran Church, Groton. Rev. Craig Grams will officiate. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery under the direction of Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton.
Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 4-8 with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
Phil passed away September 28, 2012 near Groton.
Phillip Wade Adler was born on March 26, 1964 in Aberdeen to Ronald and Shirley (Rittal) Adler. He was raised near Groton and graduated from Groton High School in 1982. Phil attended Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, earning a degree in Machine Tool Technology. He returned to Groton and was employed with Cardinal Tool in Aberdeen for over 20 years.
On June 29, 1991, he was united in marriage with Lisa Nierman at St. John's Lutheran Church in Groton. Together they had two children; Jarrett and Jessica.
Phil loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed vacationing with them, watching his children play soccer, hunting, fishing and spending time at the farm.
Celebrating his life through memories is his wife, Lisa, and their children, Jarrett and Jessica; his father, Ronald; his brothers, Tim Adler, Mark Adler, Jesse (Becky) Nierman and Chad Nierman; and his parents, Alan & Bonnie Nierman.
Preceding him in death was his mom, grandparents, Jack & Gladys Adler and Jacob & Mary Rittal.
Honorary Casketbeares will be all of Phil's hunting and fishing buddies and his friends at Cardinal Tool.
Casketbearers will be Cole Thurston, Josh Heupel, Layne Howard, Jarrett Adler, Dennis Volzke, Brett Hanson and Randy Helm.
