Services for Ruby Fuller, 91, of Groton will be 1:00pm, Monday, May 26th at Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton. Pastor Jan Price will officiate. Burial will follow in Groton Union Cemetery under the direction of Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton. www.paetznick-garness.com
Visitation will be held at the chapel from 4-8pm on Sunday with a prayer service at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services on Monday.
Ruby passed away May 23, 2008 at Avera St. Lukes Hospital in Aberdeen.
Ruby Elaine Christman was born on July 8, 1916 to Ross and Ruth Christman in Marshall County, South Dakota. She grew up on a farm south of Claremont. Ruby moved to Groton and graduated from high school there. She united in marriage with Dwight "Dutch" Fuller and together they had one son, Robert. Dutch was employed with the Milwaukee Railroad for 47 years. The family moved to Bath in 1943 and returned to Groton in 1964.
Throughout her life, Ruby enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, gardening, traveling, visiting and holiday gatherings. Grandma Ruby will be remembered for her love, dedication and devotion to her family.
Grateful for having shared in her life is her son, Robert (Brenda) Fuller of Aberdeen, three grandchildren; Troy Fuller of Sioux Falls, William Fuller of El Paso, Texas, Kristin (Bart) Bower of Deadwood, her great-grandchildren; Kayla Fuller, Alexandra Fuller, Austin Fuller, Mitchell Fuller and Chayton Bower. Ruby is also survived by one sister Arlone (Bill) Hare of Cheyenne, Wyoming, one niece and two nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Dutch and her daughter-in-law, Arla Fuller.
Casketbearers will be William Fuller, Troy Fuller, Bart Bower, Austin Fuller, Mitchell Fuller and Jimmy Jones.
